Led Zeppelin – Thank You: From the 1969 album Led Zeppelin II, this was the first Led Zeppelin song for which Robert Plant wrote all the lyrics. He wrote it for his wife at the time, Maureen.
Led Zeppelin II is, unsurprisingly, Led Zeppelin’s second album, released in October of 1969. The album’s production was credited to Jimmy Page, the lead guitarist and songwriter. It is known as their heaviest album. Led Zeppelin II was the band’s first album to reach number one on charts in the UK and the US.
David Juniper designed the album’s cover. In November of 1999, the album reached Platinum status for sales passing 12 million copies. Led Zeppelin II is widely referenced and regarded as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time.
Led Zeppelin – Thank You
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea,
there will still be you and me.
Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.
Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by.
My love is strong, with you there is no wrong,
together we shall go until we die. My, my, my.
An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look… see.
And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one.
Happiness, no more be sad, happiness….I’m glad.
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.
