Congratulations! I hope you had a lovely bridal shower. What’s next on the wedding to-do list? Write that first thank you note of course! Best to get them started right away so you can check them off your list and focus on your big day.
To make this as painless as possible, I’ve created a bunch of sample bridal shower thank you notes. But before you get started, take a look at these quick tips:
Before You Begin, Have These Things:
1. A list of the gifts you received. They don’t need to be in any particular order. Just make sure it’s complete.
2. Stationery or thank you note cards. If you need to buy some, see the Stationery page.
3. A return address stamp. It will make your life easier, not just for these thank you notes but for your wedding ones, plus any other mail you’ll need to send. Isn’t this one cute? Click on it to see more.
4. Postage stamps.
5. A pen that works.
6. Addresses of gift givers.
A Quick Tip:
Set small goals. That one always helps me.
I like to suggest doing 3 to 5 thank you notes at a time, and have them all done within 2 weeks.
Doing just a few at a time means you are more likely to sit down and start, as opposed to thinking you need to do 30 notes in one sitting. Who has time for that?
Also, giving yourself a deadline (2 weeks) means you are more likely to get those puppies in the mail and less likely to procrastinate.
